Hello: Hope you are doing well. I am currently looking through the Task Force Action Plans and am trying to access the Health Task Force Action Plan. However, when I click on the PowerPoint image, it retrieves the Education Task Force Plan. Can you please let me know how I might be able to access the Health Task Force Action Plan? Thank you! Best, Tanner

Was on the first board of the South Dallas Economic Development Council which indicates my age. I directed the Dallas headquarters relocation program which landed 51 headquarters. Would like to meet with your group leadership to discuss a short talk to members.

I am a resident of the Bear Creek Community in Lancaster, Texas. I have recently relocated from the Washington D.C. area. I am thrilled to learn that the Foundation of Community Empowerment and South Dallas has developed a task force to address challenges facing South Dallas. Coming from an metropolitian area where diversity is growing, I was quite surprised to see the distinction between north and south Dallas. I have worked at several non-profits serving in such roles as grant writer, marketing and communications contact and program manager. I realize the importance of community empowerment. As a resident of South Dallas,I am looking to take on an active role in better my community. Do you know how I can be a part of your organization and/or task force? If so, please advise. Thank you in advance. Again I applaud your effots in helping creating a better tomorrow today. - Kind regards, Christal Thompson

South Dallas Visions, I am Ahlen Moin, a Delaware based artist/writer focusing primarily on science fiction themes. I am currently working on a graphic novel; I am visiting and researching various locations and topics pertaining to the graphic novel. I will be in Dallas from September 3-6, 2008 and i would like to meet with someone knowledgeable about South Dallas- Specifically the South Oak Cliff area, if possible. I became aware South Dallas Visions through your website. A meeting like this would help me better understand South Dallas and it's people. Could it be possible for you to forward my information to someone, and help me set up a meeting? I would very much appreciate it, and it would help me greatly in my work. Sincerely, Ahlen Moin

Hello, My name is Shana Ross Westry and I would like to apply to work as a VOLUNTEER with your organization. After spending many unfulfilled years as a legal professional, I grew tired of listening to outsiders speak of the ills of the inner city. People are so quick to be judgmental about what they THINK other people should do to 'pull themselves up by their bootstraps'. I can't tell you how many times I've listened as co-workers opined about the plight of inner city youth, single mothers, parolees, etc.; always quick to criticize and never offering the support and understanding needed to help affect a positive change. So, I decided that I would make a positive difference in the lives of those people, MY people, who for whatever reason had not been afforded some of the same social and financial opportunities as others in our society. I'm a person who is able to offer help and support to others less fortunate than myself. I believe that everything begins and ends with education.
